.........................................................

Our team has been working on the prototype since... 1992! It received several names (Etapes, La bonne échappée, Cycling tour) but it's under its final name, Leader 1, that GHENOS Games started to publish it. As soon as July 2008, BLACKROCK Editions started to distribute it in France.

Created by Alain Ollier, this simulation came to maturity after 16 years of testing and thinking!

The game illustrations are the work of Tony Rochon (illustrator for "Garçon!" and "Huuue!").

* RULE DETAILS

"Feed zone" section

Riders in the peloton :

• Players who have one or more riders in the peloton when the peloton crosses the feed zone line get the "feed zone" tokens for each of their riders at the end of the peloton's movement.

• If a player forgets to take his "feed zone" tile(s) and that another move (either from a rider or from the peloton) is already made, the player will not be able to get the tile(s) back.

Variant for games with a lot of players

Example :

There are 9 players: (A),(B),(C),(D),(E),(F),(G),(H),(I).

(A),(B),(C) are together and take the blue team. (A) takes the blue rouleur, (B) takes the blue leader and (C) takes the blue climber.

(D),(E),(F) are together and take the white team. (D) takes the white rouleur, (E) takes the white leader and (F) takes the white climber.

(G),(H),(I) are together and take the red team. (G) takes the red rouleur, (H) takes the red leader and (I) takes the red climber.

Players in the same team collaborate and develop a common strategy aiming at the victory of one of them.

THE ROADS

Roads appear on 15 cm wide hexagons. There are 21 hexagons that can be used on both sides, which gives a total of 42 different routes.

Hexagons are assembled differently for each new race, so the routes are always new.

There are 4 different kinds of road: plain (green bordered road), ground rise (orange bordered road), mountain pass (red bordered road) and downhill (black bordered road).
